1. What is XPrivate?
XPrivate is an app developed by xadblock.com. The ultimate ad-blocking solution for your iOS device. Say goodbye to annoying pop-ups, banners, and video ads while browsing the web on Safari. Our app not only blocks ads but also enhances your privacy by preventing trackers from monitoring your online activity.
XPrivate is a free app available for iPhone.
2. XPrivate does not block ads in Safari?
Just in case, go to iOS Settings App → Safari → General → Content Blockers and check that all XPrivate content blockers are switched on (this is important because they are intertwined and need each other to work properly).
Go to XPrivate's main screen and ensure the toggle is on (it's visible right there). Wait for the 'Updating filters' message to complete after you turn the toggle on. Check if your problem is solved. If not, proceed to the next step.
Check which filters are enabled, if any: XPrivate → Filters tab. Our recommended list that should cover most of ads is as follows:
- - Block Ads: Block unwanted ads, improve safari speed, less data used and save battery life.
- - Security: Block malicious websites, improve privacy and scam sites.
- - Adult: Block adult sites. Protect your kids from adult content.
- - Custom: Block your own filters.

3. What to do if I don't want to block certain website(-s)?
Go to Custom Filter (XPrivate → Filters tab → Custom → +) and add there the domain name of the website that you don't want to be blocked (for example, enter "example.com" and not "example.com/page/address.html").
Note that you don't have to remove the website from Allowlist to resume filtering there, just tap "Pause Blocking" or "Block Website" to disable/enable Allowlist for it at any time.
